Growing up a small town girl in central Illinois, "playing house" was my go to activity! Home was my happy place, filled with love, music & comfortability, all orchestrated on a shoe string budget by my Mom. It was from her that I gained the skill of being truly resourceful.

I left my happy place at 17 as I headed to Chicago for college. Many cross country moves later found me honing my craft - renovating and building homes. Each area of the country brought about a new style of home to curate - a classic northeastern colonial, a FL ranch home with a pool, a CA beach home, a new build (made to look old) traditional brick 4 story, a cozy cape cod & a vintage 1916 Georgian Revival (MY ALL TIME FAV!).

This newfound passion took on a new look in 2012 when I “accidentally” landed my very first client & needless to say ... the rest is history!

Years later, with the unexpected passing of my Mom, I made the decision to get back to my happy place - where family & friends could again be gathered together around the fire, laughing about old times on the back deck & remembering those we miss at our annual Thanksgiving dinner. Every morning now as I'm greeted by our little furry friends, I look around & think of all that brought us here, taking a quick moment to be truly thankful for HOME! A safe place that instantly welcomes and comforts you the minute you walk in the door … just like it was at Mom's.

I am forever grateful for the amazing families that I've had the pleasure to work with over the years & eagerly look forward to having the opportunity to help make your home your happy place too!

I. I love the juxtaposition of things in design - mixing a little rustic with classic chic, adding some transitional touches into a timeless setting, throwing a beautiful vintage piece into a more modern setting ... and the list goes on!

II. I am admittedly slightly obsessed with the warm grey, white dove, blue grey combination.

III. I am a hopeless romantic and love ALL things Hallmark & Lifetime ... I mean let's be honest - feel goods just feel good ... right?

IV. I can find a reason in every season to use my fireplace! If you don't believe me ... just ask my husband!

V. I definitely love a little bit of WOW factor in each room! Be audacious! If done right - it will draw your eye to it but only because it's beautifully complemented by all of the items around it!
